- 69 4 Mn3Ni1CrMo ML-FK1
69 4 Mn3Ni1CrMo ML-FK1 is a low-alloy, solid MIG/GMAW welding wire on a Mn3Ni1CrMo basis designed for high-strength fine-grain structural steels up to 690 MPa yield strength (e.g. S500Q–S690Q, Strenx 700, Dillimax 690, A514, HY80/HY100). Its alloy concept with Mn, Ni, Cr, Mo and V provides high tensile strength, good elongation and excellent low-temperature toughness, making it suitable for highly stressed welded structures. 1.7339 CrMo1Si ML-CrMo1 is a low-alloy solid MIG/TIG filler metal for matching 1.25%Cr–0.5%Mo creep-resisting ferritic steels such as P11/P12 and related grades used up to about 550 °C. With a typical analysis of 0.10% C, 0.60% Si, 1.00% Mn, 1.20% Cr and 0.52% Mo, it delivers high yield and tensile strength, good elongation and excellent impact toughness down to −40 °C. The wire/rod is classified as EN ISO 21952-A G CrMo1Si / W CrMo1Si, material no. 1.7339, AWS A5.28 ER80S-G, and is designed for critical components in power generation (steam piping, turbines, boilers) as well as chemical and petrochemical plant. Low levels of tramp elements result in a very low Bruscato factor, supporting resistance to temper embrittlement in long-term high-temperature service. Recommended practice is preheat around 200 °C, interpass temperatures up to approx. 300 °C and post-weld heat treatment at about 620–690 °C; the product is welded with DC electrode positive for MIG and DC electrode negative for TIG and supplied as MIG wires (0.8–1.2 mm on B-300 spools/ECO-drums) and TIG rods (2.0–2.4 mm, 1000 mm length).
- 1.7384 CrMo2Si ML-CrMo2
1.7384 CrMo2Si ML-CrMo2 is a low-alloy solid MIG/TIG filler metal for 2.25–2.5 %Cr–1 %Mo creep-resisting ferritic steels such as 10CrMo9-10 and the P21/P22 family, used in high-temperature service up to around 600 °C. Its typical composition (0.08 % C, 0.60 % Si, 0.92 % Mn, 2.45 % Cr, 1.00 % Mo) provides a balanced combination of strength and toughness, with yield strength ≥ 400 MPa, tensile strength ≥ 520 MPa, elongation ≥ 20 % and impact energy ≥ 80 J at room temperature. The wire features low levels of tramp elements, resulting in a low Bruscato factor and improved resistance to temper embrittlement in long-term high-temperature operation. Typical applications include steam piping, boilers and turbine components in power generation, as well as piping and pressure equipment in the chemical and petrochemical industries. Recommended procedures are preheating to about 200 °C, limiting interpass temperature to 300 °C and post-weld heat treatment around 690 °C, with DC electrode positive for MIG and DC electrode negative for TIG. ML-CrMo2 is supplied as MIG wires in 0.8–1.2 mm and TIG rods in 2.0–2.4 mm with standard spool, drum and 5 kg rod-tube packaging for industrial use.
